FAQ
Frequently asked questions
Answers to common questions about RinkTime: what it does, who it's for, how fees and penalties work, and why it's free.
Is RinkTime really free?
Yes. Every feature is free for everyone — players, captains, and teams. There are no paid plans.
Who is RinkTime for?
Recreational hockey teams of any kind — ice, roller, or ball hockey — plus players looking to find a team. It's especially popular with beer-league teams and pickup organizers.
Which platforms does it run on?
The web (any browser) and Android today, with iOS coming soon. Your team's data is the same everywhere.
Does RinkTime handle team fees and payments?
It tracks who owes what and who has paid — per game, monthly, or per season — and applies no-show and late-cancellation penalties automatically. RinkTime does not process payments; players settle directly with the team using the payment details shown in the app.
Can players be on more than one team?
Yes. Players can join multiple teams and see each team's schedule, chat, and balances separately.
How do waitlists work?
When a game is full, additional signups go on the waitlist. If a player cancels, the first player on the waitlist is promoted automatically and notified.
Does it work for teams in different countries?
Yes — the app is fully bilingual (English and Korean), game fees work in USD or KRW, and game times show in the team's timezone as well as your own.
Do you sell our data?
No. Team and player data belongs to the team.
Where do I sign up?
